The Sage Riders Motorcycle Club was formed in 1980 with it’s first president being Robert Hutchings.
The club’s first race was a motocross held at the “Lark” track near Lehi.
Preston Gerber took over as club president in 1981 and the club sponsored it’s first desert race

From time to time we have club sponsored rides.
These rides are guided and well planed out.
They usually have some history included about the area and the reason the trail system is open.

We will also look into getting a sturdy canvas type wall tent to accomodate sign ups for race day and keep our sign up staff comfy and warm and dry.
This way we can separate marking supplies and the like, from our sign up stuff and keep it all a bit more organized.
Travis Good volunteered to look into a new or new/used trailer for us.
We discussed our club's assignment for the Charity Race in Price on Aug. 16. We decided to volunteer for flagging the MX on Sunday.
I have spoken with Ken Kirkwood and he has put us down for that job. He also needs help with the starting gate so I volunteered us for that as well.
Please RSVP to me if you are going to be there to help out on Sunday so I can get an approximate head count to Ken K.
If you are interested in work points for this event please get in touch with Charlie Jensen, our USRA desert representative to get your name on the list.
Remember, the work points list must be in to the USRA 30 days prior to the event, so you have until July 16 to get on it.
We also discussed the take back UT rally on Aug 8th. Please mark you calendars and plan to attend this important event. These issues affect everyone!!
Chris Brimhall who is organizing the event is in need of volunteers to help out on rally day as well. Please RSVP directly to Chris at chris@takebackutah.org.

Also we have a club ride coming up on the Manti La Sal National Forest on 7-18. This is a family oriented ride with something for everyone.
Please RSVP to Alan Peterson at petchem@emerytelcom.net if you plan on attending. It's sure to be a fun day of riding in the mountains.
